Step 1: Soak bird's nest in boiled or distilled water for the bird's nest strands to expand, which take approximately 2 hours (or also can soak overnight in the fridge). Shred them into pieces.
Step 3: The remainder loose feathers and fine dirt particles can be further removed by a fine stainless steel sift. Discard the water. (Note: a fine Stainless Steel Sift can fasten the cleaning process)
Step 5: Put the prepared bird's nest into the pot with tap water just covering those shredded nest.
| Step 2: Go over the shredded nest pieces, pick out any loose feathers and dirt particles by using a pair of stainless steel pliers. Repeat this step until most feathers and dirt particles are removed.
Step 4: Fill 2/3 of the pot with tap water. Bring the water inside the pot to boil.
Step 6: Once the water (from Step 4) boiled, turn fire to low heat. Place the container (from Step 5) on top of the pot and double-boiled for 30-45 minutes. Ready to serve.
